Summerhays Music of Orem is the largest independent Music Retailer in Utah County, servicing from Eagle Mountain, down to St. George. A full-service shop, including a repair shop, recital hall, and teaching studio, Summerhays focuses on band and orchestra instruments and accessories. Summerhays Music of Orem is the only local music retailer to carry a comprehensive range of student, step-up, and professional instruments, including purchase and rental options.
Although instrument sales and rentals are core to our business, our mission is to support musicians and music educators. We achieve these goals by hosting over 200 local educational events and clinics each year, as well as offering the most flexible rental contract for student instruments, so that anyone can have the equipment they need to succeed in band or orchestra. We also work directly with over 100 local band and orchestra programs, to best support their programs and meet their needs.
Role Description
Summerhays Music Of Orem is looking for a part-time Woodwind Sales Specialist to promote and sell woodwind instruments and related accessories. The successful candidate will assist customers in selecting the appropriate instrument, explain the features of each instrument and accessories, and provide demonstrations. The Woodwind Sales Specialist will also be responsible for processing customer transactions, maintaining the store's inventory, and completing other duties as assigned. This is an on-site role located in Orem, UT.
Qualifications

Prior experience in playing a woodwind instrument(s) is required

Prior customer service or sales experience is preferred

Strong communication and customer service skills

Good organizational skills

Must be able to work Saturdays

Knowledge of woodwind instruments and their accessories

Must be familiar with various woodwind instruments, including but not limited to saxophones, clarinets and flutes, etc

A willingness to learn, and the ability to work individually and within a team
