​Ryan Richman, Vice President of Eastman Music Company and co-designer of Eastman saxophones, takes you through the history of the saxophone and explains how they were made and what's changed over the past century.

Ryan has worked in the music business for nearly 30 years. He began his career in a local music repair shop and has since served in many capacities as a teacher, performer, clinician, retailer, and product developer. 

 

At Eastman, he has served as Wind Product Manager and Director of Wind Product Development before being appointed Vice President of Eastman in 2016. Eastman saxophones have won several awards, including the NAMM 2023 Best of Show.
